What is Steganography?
Steganography is the art of hiding secret information inside ordinary-looking files. Unlike encryption (which makes data unreadable), steganography makes the data invisible. This tool uses LSB (Least Significant Bit) steganography to embed your text message into the pixels of an image, making it completely undetectable to the human eye.
How to Hide a Secret Message
- Upload an Image: Select a PNG or JPG image to use as your "carrier." Larger images can hold longer messages.
- Type Your Message: Enter the secret text you want to hide. The tool will show you the maximum capacity based on image size.
- Set a Password: We strongly recommend setting a password. This encrypts your message before hiding it, adding an extra layer of security.
- Hide the Message: Click "Hide Message in Image" to embed your secret into the carrier image.
- Download & Share: The resulting image looks identical to the original. Share it anywhere - only those with the password can reveal your message.
How to Reveal a Hidden Message
- Switch to "Reveal Message" Mode: Click the "Reveal Message" tab at the top of the tool.
- Upload the Secret Image: Upload the image containing the hidden message.
- Enter the Password: If a password was used to hide the message, enter it here.
- Click Reveal: The hidden text will be displayed if the password is correct.
